Out state constitution allows Nevadans to propose laws and constitutional amendments directly to fellow voters. This initiative process goes back over one-hundred years and derived from the idea that government represents we the people, so we the people have the power to directly control the legislative process.
As such, the League of Women Voters of Nevada supports the initiative process for sparking community discussions about governance reforms.
