This booklet contains all the official League of Women Voters positions on issues. The League decides which issues to take positions on by first determining if an issue aligns with League principles. If it does, a study committee is formed and undertakes an arduous and thorough process to create a position. At the biennial LWV Convention, delegates from around the country meet, debate, edit, and eventually vote on each committee- recommended position. The complete process is grounded in academic principles of research and validation.
